Nobita's typical day consists of arriving past due to school, falling during class asleep, credit scoring zero (0%) (F's in the British dub) on his exams, getting scolded by his teacher, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, dropping in the curbside rain gutters, getting chased by pet dogs after mistakenly stepping on the tails, getting grounded by his mother for not doing his homework, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He is also a coward who is frightened by almost anything, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a operating gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, mainly at the beginning of the tv show). He dislikes taking place outdoor activities with his interest being taking a day reading or nap comics, right after school usually. In fact, sleeping and comic book reading are most likely his only true hobbies; one story features Nobita falling asleep in three seconds simply by closing his eyes, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The thing halting him from residing at home all the time, other than tinkering with Doraemon's gizmos, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball game titles or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to venture out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is portrayed to be kind-hearted usually, emotional, honest, occasionally hard-working (like when he gets into a wager along with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even complete civilizations in full-length reviews. Though he is been shown to be academically poor, the real reason for it is principally his laziness, and he has secured good marks in multiple shows also, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be very in charge and serious at times. Nobita is weak for the most part things but has some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. He can also weave excellent string numbers, is a superb archer, and a fairly good comic book critic, due to the large amount of their time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative when it comes to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in a single episode, he found a way to profitably use a gizmo called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the initial history where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he is in love with Shizuka), never detects a good job, begins his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent each one of these from happening, as observed in several episodes in which they happen to be the future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an official in the Ministry of Environment.
