Doraemon Movie 2013: Nobita and the Purple Unicorn by sparklepeep on
Nobita's typical day involves arriving later to school, falling during class asleep, credit scoring zero (0%) (F's in the English dub) on his lab tests, getting scolded by his educator, being teased by his classmates Gian and Suneo, slipping in the curbside rainwater gutters, getting chased by dogs after stepping on the tails mistakenly, getting grounded by his mom for not completing his homework, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He is also a coward who is worried by almost everything, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a jogging gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, mainly at the beginning of the instance). He dislikes taking place outdoor activities with his interest being taking a day reading or nap comics, right after school usually. In fact, sleeping and comic reserve reading are his only true pastimes probably; one story features Nobita falling asleep in three seconds simply by closing his eyes, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing halting him from staying at home all the right time, other than experimenting with Doraemon's gizmos, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to participate in baseball games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to venture out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is portrayed as being kind-hearted usually, emotional, honest, once in a while hard-working (like when he gets into a wager with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to help save others or even entire civilizations in full-length experiences. Though he's shown to be poor academically, the real reason for it is his laziness principally, and he in addition has secured good grades in multiple episodes, proving his credentials. Nobita can be very sensible and serious sometimes. Nobita is weak for the most part things but does have some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. He can also weave excellent string numbers, is a superb archer, and a fairly good comic reserve critic, owing to the huge amount of their time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative when it comes to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in a single episode, he found a way to use a gadget called 'the broadcasting mirror' profitably, for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the initial background where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he adores Shizuka), never confirms a good job, begins his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid all these from happening, as observed in several episodes in which they happen to be the future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
