Nobita's typical day includes arriving past due to school, falling asleep during class, credit scoring zero (0%) (F's in the English dub) on his assessments, getting scolded by his tutor, being teased by his classmates Gian and Suneo, slipping in the curbside rain gutters, getting chased by canines after mistakenly stepping on their tails, getting grounded by his mom for not concluding his home work, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He's a coward who is worried by almost everything also, particularly ghosts, and a cry-baby (a running gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, usually at the start of the instance). He dislikes happening outdoor activities along with his interest being taking a day reading or nap comics, right after school usually. In fact, sleeping and comic booklet reading are his only true pastimes probably; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds simply by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing stopping him from residing at home on a regular basis, other than tinkering with Doraemon's gizmos, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball video games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to venture out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed to be kind-hearted, emotional, honest, occasionally hard-working (like when he gets into a wager with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to help save others or even entire civilizations in full-length testimonies. Though he's been shown to be poor academically, the real reason for it is principally his laziness, and he has secured good grades in multiple shows also, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be quite serious and in charge at times. Nobita is weak at most things but does have some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. They can also weave excellent string characters, is a great archer, and a good comic publication critic pretty, owing to the huge amount of time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's gizmos (in one episode, he found a way to profitably use a tool called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the original record where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he is in love with Shizuka), never sees a good job, begins his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid all these from happening, as observed in several episodes where they travel to the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
