Nobita's typical day includes arriving past due to school, falling asleep during class, scoring zero (0%) (F's in the English dub) on his testing, getting scolded by his educator, being teased by his classmates Gian and Suneo, dropping in the curbside rainwater gutters, getting chased by puppies after mistakenly stepping on their tails, getting grounded by his mom for not completing his homework, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind center and cares for him. He is also a coward who is scared by almost anything, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a running gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to bring out his gadgets, typically at the start of the episode). He dislikes taking place outdoor activities along with his interest being taking a day nap or reading comics, right after school usually. In fact, sleeping and comic reserve reading are his only true interests probably; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds simply by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing preventing him from staying at home all the right time, other than tinkering with Doraemon's gizmos, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to participate in baseball game titles or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to venture out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed as being kind-hearted, emotional, honest, sometimes hard-working (like when he gets into a wager with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to help save others or even entire civilizations in full-length experiences. Though he's been shown to be poor academically, the reason behind it is principally his laziness, and he has secured good markings in multiple episodes also, proving his credentials. Nobita can be very serious and liable at times. Nobita is weak at most things but has some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora a child. He is able to weave excellent string information also, is a superb archer, and a reasonably good comic book critic, due to the huge amount of time he spends on reading them. He is also very creative when it comes to utilizing Doraemon's gizmos (in one episode, he found a way to profitably use a gizmo called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for this).In the initial record where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he loves Shizuka), never sees a good job, starts his own business, and eventually goes bankrupt. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent each one of these from happening, as observed in several episodes where they happen to be the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
