He's a coward who is scared by almost everything also, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a running gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to bring out his gadgets, largely at the beginning of the occurrence). He dislikes taking place outdoor activities with his interest being taking an afternoon nap or reading comics, usually right after school. In fact, sleeping and comic reserve reading are his only true hobbies and interests probably; one story features Nobita drifting off to sleep in three seconds just by closing his eyes, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The thing stopping him from residing at home all the time, other than experimenting with Doraemon's devices, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to go out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed to be kind-hearted, emotional, honest, occasionally hard-working (like when he gets into a wager with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even entire civilizations in full-length stories. Though he's shown to be academically poor, the reason behind it is his laziness principally, and he in addition has guaranteed good grades in multiple episodes, proving his credentials. Nobita can be quite liable and serious at times. Nobita is weak for the most part things but has some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. They can weave excellent string numbers also, is a great archer, and a good comic e book critic pretty, owing to the large amount of your energy he spends on reading them. He is also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in one episode, he found a way to use a gizmo called 'the broadcasting mirror' profitably, for advertising, even when Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for this).In the original history where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he adores Shizuka), never discovers a good job, starts off his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid each one of these from happening, as observed in several episodes where they travel to the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
