Nobita's typical day involves arriving overdue to school, falling asleep during class, scoring zero (0%) (F's in the English dub) on his testing, getting scolded by his educator, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, falling in the curbside rainwater gutters, getting chased by puppies after moving on the tails mistakenly, getting grounded by his mother for not concluding his home work, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind center and cares for him. He is also a coward who is frightened by almost everything, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a running gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, mainly at the beginning of the show). He dislikes happening outdoor activities along with his interest being taking a day reading or nap comics, right after school usually. He has often risked his life to help save others or even entire civilizations in full-length testimonies. Though he's shown to be academically poor, the real reason for it is principally his laziness, and he has also anchored good markings in multiple shows, proving his credentials. Nobita can be very serious and dependable sometimes. Nobita is weak at most things but has some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. He is able to also weave excellent string numbers, is a superb archer, and a good comic publication critic fairly, due to the large amount of the time he spends on reading them. He is also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's gizmos (in a single episode, he found a way to profitably use a device called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even when Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the original record where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he adores Shizuka), never finds a good job, begins his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid each one of these from happening, as observed in several episodes in which they happen to be the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
