He is also a coward who is frightened by almost anything, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a working gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to bring out his gadgets, typically at the beginning of the episode). He dislikes occurring outdoor activities along with his interest being taking an afternoon reading or nap comics, right after school usually. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even whole civilizations in full-length testimonies. Though he's been shown to be academically poor, the real reason for it is especially his laziness, and he has also guaranteed good markings in multiple shows, proving his credentials. Nobita can be quite serious and sensible sometimes. Nobita is weak for the most part things but does have some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora a child. He is able to weave excellent string numbers also, is a great archer, and a good comic booklet critic pretty, owing to the huge amount of energy he spends on reading them. He's also very creative when it comes to utilizing Doraemon's gadgets (in a single episode, he found a way to profitably use a tool called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the initial background where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he is in love with Shizuka), never finds a good job, starts his own business, and eventually goes bankrupt. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent each one of these from happening, as observed in several episodes in which they travel to the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an official in the Ministry of Environment.
