Nobita's typical day consists of arriving past due to school, falling during class asleep, rating zero (0%) (F's in the British dub) on his checks, getting scolded by his educator, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, falling in the curbside rainwater gutters, getting chased by canines after mistakenly stepping on the tails, getting grounded by his mother for not doing his homework, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He is also a coward who is frightened by almost anything, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a jogging gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to bring out his gadgets, typically at the beginning of the show). He dislikes going on outdoor activities with his interest being taking a day reading or nap comics, right after school usually. In fact, sleeping and comic e book reading are his only true interests probably; one story features Nobita falling asleep in three seconds just by closing his eyes, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing preventing him from residing at home on a regular basis, other than experimenting with Doraemon's gadgets, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to participate in baseball games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to go out and play.Despite the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed to be kind-hearted, emotional, honest, once in a while hard-working (like when he enters a wager along with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even whole civilizations in full-length tales. Though he's been shown to be academically poor, the reason behind it is his laziness principally, and he has anchored good markings in multiple episodes also, proving his credentials. Nobita can be very serious and in charge at times. Nobita is weak at most things but has some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. They can weave excellent string statistics also, is a great archer, and a good comic publication critic rather, owing to the huge amount of your energy he spends on reading them. He is also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's gadgets (in one episode, he found a way to use a tool called 'the broadcasting mirror' profitably, for advertising, even when Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the original history where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he enjoys Shizuka), never finds a good job, starts off his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent all these from happening, as seen in several episodes where they happen to be the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
