Doraemon: Nobita’s Space Heroes
Nobita's typical day contains arriving past due to school, falling during class asleep, scoring zero (0%) (F's in the British dub) on his testing, getting scolded by his professor, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, slipping in the curbside rain gutters, getting chased by dogs after mistakenly stepping on their tails, getting grounded by his mom for not concluding his home work, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind center and cares for him. He is a coward who's scared by almost everything also, particularly ghosts, and a cry-baby (a working gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to bring out his gadgets, typically at the beginning of the instance). He dislikes going on outdoor activities along with his interest being taking a day nap or reading comics, right after school usually. In fact, sleeping and comic book reading are probably his only true hobbies; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds simply by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The thing stopping him from staying at home all the time, other than experimenting with Doraemon's devices, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball video games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to go out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed to be kind-hearted, emotional, honest, occasionally hard-working (like when he enters a wager along with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even whole civilizations in full-length reports. Though he is shown to be academically poor, the reason behind it is principally his laziness, and he has secured good marks in multiple episodes also, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be quite responsible and serious at times. Nobita is weak at most things but has some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. He is able to also weave excellent string characters, is a superb archer, and a fairly good comic reserve critic, due to the large amount of energy he spends on reading them. He is also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in one episode, he found a way to profitably use a gizmo called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the original history where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he loves Shizuka), never confirms a good job, starts his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid each one of these from happening, as observed in several episodes in which they travel to the future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an official in the Ministry of Environment.
