The only thing halting him from staying at home all the time, other than experimenting with Doraemon's gizmos, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball video games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to venture out and play.Despite the above flaws, Nobita is portrayed to be kind-hearted usually, emotional, honest, occasionally hard-working (like when he enters a wager along with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even entire civilizations in full-length reviews. Though he's been shown to be poor academically, the reason behind it is his laziness principally, and he has also secured good markings in multiple episodes, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be very accountable and serious at times. Nobita is weak at most things but has some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora a child. They can weave excellent string information also, is a great archer, and a reasonably good comic reserve critic, due to the large amount of the time he spends on reading them. He is also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in one episode, he found a way to profitably use a gizmo called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the original history where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he loves Shizuka), never discovers a good job, starts off his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid each one of these from happening, as seen in several episodes in which they happen to be the future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
