Shizuka Minamoto , nicknamed Shizuka-chan is a good, kind and pretty girl; she is Nobita's best friend and he has a crush on her. Shizuka can be an animal enthusiast and retains two pets at home: your dog, who's kept from succumbing to illness by Doraemon and Nobita in a single history; and a canary which runs away on multiple occasions and causing Shizuka and Nobita to run around the location hunting her down.Because of Doraemon's intervention, Shizuka will marry Nobita in the foreseeable future. At present, she doesn't have any particular crush (apart from on Nobita, whom she secretly likes quite definitely), although she fancies some handsome idols on TV. Other than Nobita, Gian, and Suneo, Shizuka is also near classmate and popular scholar Dekisugi which makes Nobita jealous; though they consider the other person only as friends, Nobita often will try to prevent them from heading mutually.In the closed down captioning of Doraemon's Time Capsule, her Japanese name is maintained while donating her journal to the capsule.
