He is a coward who's terrified by almost anything also, particularly ghosts, and a cry-baby (a jogging gag in the show has Nobita crying and asking for Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, mainly at the start of the episode). Though he's been shown to be academically poor, the real reason for it is especially his laziness, and he has secured good marks in multiple episodes also, proving his credentials. Nobita can be very serious and liable sometimes. Nobita is weak for the most part things but has some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. They can also weave excellent string characters, is a great archer, and a good comic publication critic quite, due to the large amount of energy he spends on reading them. He is also very creative when it comes to utilizing Doraemon's gadgets (in one episode, he found a way to use a tool called 'the broadcasting mirror' profitably, for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for this).In the initial record where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he is in love with Shizuka), never detects a good job, starts off his own business, and eventually goes bankrupt. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent each one of these from happening, as seen in several episodes where they happen to be the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an official in the Ministry of Environment.
