He is also a coward who's frightened by almost anything, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a working gag in the show has Nobita crying and asking for Doraemon to bring out his gadgets, generally at the beginning of the instance). He dislikes happening outdoor activities with his interest being taking a day reading or nap comics, usually right after school. In fact, sleeping and comic e book reading are his only true hobbies and interests probably; one story features Nobita drifting off to sleep in three seconds just by closing his eyes, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The thing stopping him from staying at home on a regular basis, other than experimenting with Doraemon's devices, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to participate in baseball game titles or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to go out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed to be kind-hearted, emotional, honest, sometimes hard-working (like when he enters a wager along with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even entire civilizations in full-length testimonies. Though he is shown to be poor academically, the reason behind it is especially his laziness, and he has anchored good marks in multiple episodes also, proving his credentials. Nobita can be quite liable and serious sometimes. Nobita is weak for the most part things but has some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora a child. He can weave excellent string numbers also, is a great archer, and a fairly good comic booklet critic, due to the huge amount of your time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in one episode, he found a way to profitably use a tool called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even when Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for this).In the initial history where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he adores Shizuka), never discovers a good job, begins his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid all these from happening, as observed in several episodes in which they happen to be the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
