Nobita's typical day involves arriving later to school, falling during class asleep, rating zero (0%) (F's in the English dub) on his checks, getting scolded by his tutor, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, dropping in the curbside rain gutters, getting chased by pups after mistakenly stepping on their tails, getting grounded by his mom for not concluding his research, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He is a coward who is terrified by almost everything also, particularly ghosts, and a cry-baby (a working gag in the show has Nobita crying and asking for Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, typically at the start of the episode). He dislikes happening outdoor activities along with his interest being taking a day reading or nap comics, usually right after school. In fact, sleeping and comic book reading are probably his only true hobbies; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds just by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing halting him from residing at home on a regular basis, other than experimenting with Doraemon's gizmos, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball video games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to venture out and play.Despite the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed as being kind-hearted, emotional, honest, occasionally hard-working (like when he enters a wager along with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even complete civilizations in full-length reviews. Though he's been shown to be academically poor, the reason behind it is his laziness principally, and he in addition has anchored good grades in multiple episodes, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be quite serious and sensible at times. Nobita is weak for the most part things but does have some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. They can weave excellent string figures also, is a great archer, and a reasonably good comic publication critic, due to the huge amount of their time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's gadgets (in a single episode, he found a way to use a device called 'the broadcasting mirror' profitably, for advertising, even when Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the original record where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he adores Shizuka), never detects a good job, begins his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent all these from happening, as seen in several episodes in which they travel to the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
