He's a coward who is terrified by almost everything also, particularly ghosts, and a cry-baby (a running gag in the show has Nobita crying and asking for Doraemon to bring out his gadgets, generally at the beginning of the occurrence). He dislikes occurring outdoor activities with his interest being taking a day nap or reading comics, usually right after school. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even complete civilizations in full-length stories. Though he is been shown to be academically poor, the real reason for it is especially his laziness, and he in addition has guaranteed good marks in multiple episodes, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be very responsible and serious sometimes. Nobita is weak for the most part things but does have some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora a child. He can also weave excellent string information, is a superb archer, and a good comic book critic pretty, owing to the huge amount of the time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative when it comes to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in one episode, he found a way to profitably use a tool called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the initial record where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he loves Shizuka), never finds a good job, starts his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent each one of these from happening, as seen in several episodes where they happen to be the future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
