Nobita's typical day involves arriving past due to school, falling during class asleep, rating zero (0%) (F's in the British dub) on his checks, getting scolded by his professor, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, dropping in the curbside rainwater gutters, getting chased by pups after stepping on their tails mistakenly, getting grounded by his mom for not completing his homework, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and cares for him. He is also a coward who's worried by almost anything, particularly ghosts, and a cry-baby (a running gag in the show has Nobita crying and asking for Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, mainly at the beginning of the event). He dislikes happening outdoor activities with his interest being taking a day nap or reading comics, right after school usually. In fact, sleeping and comic book reading are most likely his only true hobbies; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds just by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing stopping him from residing at home all the time, other than experimenting with Doraemon's gizmos, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to venture out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed as being kind-hearted, emotional, honest, sometimes hard-working (like when he gets into a wager with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even whole civilizations in full-length testimonies. Though he is shown to be poor academically, the reason behind it is his laziness principally, and he has secured good markings in multiple shows also, proving his credentials. Nobita can be very serious and responsible sometimes. Nobita is weak at most things but has some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora a child. He is able to weave excellent string results also, is a great archer, and a fairly good comic e book critic, due to the large amount of energy he spends on reading them. He's also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in one episode, he found a way to profitably use a gizmo called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even when Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the initial record where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he adores Shizuka), never discovers a good job, starts his own business, and eventually goes bankrupt. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid each one of these from happening, as observed in several episodes where they travel to the future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
