Nobita's typical day involves arriving later to school, falling asleep during class, rating zero (0%) (F's in the English dub) on his testing, getting scolded by his educator, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, slipping in the curbside rain gutters, getting chased by pups after stepping on the tails mistakenly, getting grounded by his mother for not completing his homework, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He's a coward who is scared by almost anything also, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a working gag in the show has Nobita crying and asking for Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, typically at the start of the tv show). He dislikes occurring outdoor activities with his interest being taking an afternoon nap or reading comics, usually right after school. Though he is been shown to be poor academically, the real reason for it is especially his laziness, and he has secured good markings in multiple episodes also, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be quite serious and in charge sometimes. Nobita is weak at most things but does have some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. He can also weave excellent string characters, is a great archer, and a reasonably good comic e book critic, owing to the large amount of your time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative when it comes to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in a single episode, he found a way to use a gadget called 'the broadcasting mirror' profitably, for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the original record where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he enjoys Shizuka), never confirms a good job, begins his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent each one of these from happening, as seen in several episodes where they happen to be the future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an official in the Ministry of Environment.
