Shizuka
Shizuka Shizuka
Shizuka Minamoto , nicknamed Shizuka-chan is a smart, kind and lovely girl; she is Nobita's best friend and he has a crush on her. She does not shun Nobita due to the latter's failing marks, sluggish disposition or frequent failures; in truth she often attempts to encourage him to do better, though she usually fails to convince him. Shizuka loves to have a bath several times a complete day, however, a running gag in the series is the fact that Shizuka is often interrupted by Nobita's sudden appearance, usually due to misuse of Doraemon's gizmos like the Anywhere Door, ending with Shizuka shouting "Go away, pervert!" to Nobita. Her true passions are great potatoes, which she'd keep to herself from the understanding of others somewhat, and the violin, where her playing is as horrendous as Gian's singing. She is also known for taking piano lessons unwillingly anticipated to her mother's needs (as she adores violin more), which may also be grounds for declining to hold out with friends (but she plays piano very well than violin). Shizuka is an animal enthusiast and retains two dogs at home: a dog, who is preserved from succumbing to health problems by Doraemon and Nobita in a single history; and a canary which runs away on multiple occasions and leading to Shizuka and Nobita to perform around the city hunting her down.Due to Doraemon's intervention, Shizuka will marry Nobita in the future. At present, she doesn't have any particular crush (other than on Nobita, whom she secretly likes quite definitely), although she fancies some handsome idols on TV. Apart from Nobita, Gian, and Suneo, Shizuka is also near to classmate and popular university student Dekisugi making Nobita jealous; though they consider the other person only as friends, Nobita often tries to together prevent them from going. In the shut captioning of Doraemon's Time Capsule, her Japanese name is retained while donating her journal to the capsule. It may be an error.
