Nobita's typical day consists of arriving overdue to school, falling asleep during class, rating zero (0%) (F's in the English dub) on his exams, getting scolded by his instructor, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, falling in the curbside rainfall gutters, getting chased by puppies after mistakenly stepping on their tails, getting grounded by his mom for not doing his research, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He is a coward who is worried by almost everything also, particularly ghosts, and a cry-baby (a working gag in the show has Nobita crying and asking for Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, largely at the start of the occurrence). He dislikes occurring outdoor activities along with his interest being taking an afternoon nap or reading comics, right after school usually. In fact, sleeping and comic publication reading are his only true hobbies probably; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds simply by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing halting him from staying at home on a regular basis, other than tinkering with Doraemon's gizmos, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to participate in baseball games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to go out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is portrayed to be kind-hearted usually, emotional, honest, sometimes hard-working (like when he gets into a wager with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even whole civilizations in full-length reports. Though he is been shown to be poor academically, the real reason for it is his laziness principally, and he in addition has anchored good markings in multiple episodes, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be quite serious and in charge sometimes. Nobita is weak for the most part things but does have some strengths. For instance, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. He is able to also weave excellent string figures, is a superb archer, and a reasonably good comic e book critic, owing to the large amount of the time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's gizmos (in one episode, he found a way to use a gizmo called 'the broadcasting mirror' profitably, for advertising, even when Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for this).In the initial record where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he loves Shizuka), never finds a good job, begins his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid all these from happening, as seen in several episodes in which they travel to the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an official in the Ministry of Environment.
