Doraemon Gian Shizuka Minamoto Pictures
Shizuka Minamoto , nicknamed Shizuka-chan is a smart, kind and lovely girl; she actually is Nobita's closest friend and he has a crush on her. She does not shun Nobita due to the latter's failing grades, sluggish disposition or continuous failures; in reality she tries to encourage him to do better often, though she does not encourage him usually. Shizuka loves to take a bath several times a day, however, a running gag in the series is that Shizuka is often interrupted by Nobita's sudden appearance, usually due to misuse of Doraemon's devices such as the Anywhere Door, ending with Shizuka shouting "Go away, pervert!" to Nobita. Her true passions are lovely potatoes, which she'd keep to herself out of the knowledge of others somewhat, and the violin, in which her playing is really as horrendous as Gian's performing. She is also known when planning on taking piano lessons unwillingly credited to her mother's wants (as she loves violin more), which is sometimes a reason for declining to hang out with friends (but she takes on piano perfectly than violin). Shizuka can be an animal lover and keeps two domestic pets at home: a dog, who is preserved from succumbing to health issues by Nobita and Doraemon in one storyline; and a canary which runs away on multiple occasions and causing Shizuka and Nobita to run around metropolis hunting her down.Because of Doraemon's intervention, Shizuka will marry Nobita in the foreseeable future. At present, she does not have any particular crush (apart from on Nobita, whom she secretly likes quite definitely), although she fancies some handsome idols on TV. Apart from Nobita, Gian, and Suneo, Shizuka is also near to classmate and popular university student Dekisugi which makes Nobita jealous; though they consider one another only as friends, Nobita often tries to together prevent them from heading. In the sealed captioning of Doraemon's Time Capsule, her Japanese name is retained while donating her journal to the capsule. It might be an problem.
