Nobita's typical day consists of arriving later to school, falling during class asleep, scoring zero (0%) (F's in the British dub) on his tests, getting scolded by his tutor, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, dropping in the curbside rainwater gutters, getting chased by pups after moving on the tails mistakenly, getting grounded by his mother for not doing his homework, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He is a coward who is frightened by almost anything also, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a running gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, mostly at the beginning of the tv show). He dislikes going on outdoor activities along with his interest being taking an afternoon reading or nap comics, usually right after school. In fact, sleeping and comic book reading are his only true hobbies and interests probably; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds simply by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing halting him from residing at home on a regular basis, other than tinkering with Doraemon's gadgets, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball video games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to venture out and play.Despite the above flaws, Nobita is portrayed as being kind-hearted usually, emotional, honest, once in a while hard-working (like when he gets into a wager along with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even complete civilizations in full-length reviews. Though he's shown to be academically poor, the real reason for it is his laziness principally, and he has anchored good markings in multiple shows also, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be quite dependable and serious at times. Nobita is weak for the most part things but has some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora a child. He is able to weave excellent string numbers also, is a great archer, and a reasonably good comic e book critic, due to the large amount of their time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative when it comes to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in a single episode, he found a way to use a gizmo called 'the broadcasting mirror' profitably, for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the original background where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he enjoys Shizuka), never discovers a good job, starts off his own business, and eventually goes bankrupt. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent each one of these from happening, as observed in several episodes in which they travel to the future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an official in the Ministry of Environment.
