Feet: Doraemon: Nobita and the Birth of Japan 2016: Shizuka Minamoto
Shizuka Minamoto , nicknamed Shizuka-chan is a good, kind and pretty girl; she is Nobita's closest friend and he has a crush on her. She does not shun Nobita because of the latter's failing grades, sluggish disposition or constant failures; in fact she often attempts to encourage him to do better, though she fails to encourage him usually. Shizuka loves to have a bath several times a day, however, a running gag in the series is that Shizuka is often interrupted by Nobita's sudden appearance, usually due to misuse of Doraemon's gizmos like the Anywhere Door, ending with Shizuka shouting "Go away, pervert!" to Nobita. Her true passions are great potatoes, which she would keep to herself out of the understanding of others rather, and the violin, in which her playing is really as horrendous as Gian's singing. She is also known when planning on taking piano lessons unwillingly credited to her mother's wishes (as she is in love with violin more), which may also be grounds for declining to hold out with friends (but she plays piano perfectly than violin). Shizuka is an animal enthusiast and keeps two house animals at home: a puppy, who is preserved from succumbing to illness by Doraemon and Nobita in one storyline; and a canary which runs away on multiple occasions and leading to Shizuka and Nobita to perform around the town hunting her down.Due to Doraemon's intervention, Shizuka shall marry Nobita in the foreseeable future. At present, she doesn't have any particular crush (apart from on Nobita, whom she secretly likes quite definitely), although she fancies some handsome idols on TV. Apart from Nobita, Gian, and Suneo, Shizuka is also near to classmate and popular scholar Dekisugi which makes Nobita jealous; though they consider each other only as friends, Nobita often will try to prevent them from heading jointly. In the closed captioning of Doraemon's Time Capsule, her Japanese name is retained while donating her diary to the capsule. It could be an problem.
