Nobita's typical day involves arriving late to school, falling asleep during class, credit scoring zero (0%) (F's in the British dub) on his lab tests, getting scolded by his teacher, being teased by his classmates Suneo and Gian, falling in the curbside rain gutters, getting chased by pups after mistakenly stepping on the tails, getting grounded by his mom for not doing his homework, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He's also a coward who is terrified by almost anything, particularly ghosts, and a cry-baby (a running gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to bring out his gadgets, mostly at the start of the episode). He dislikes going on outdoor activities with his interest being taking a day nap or reading comics, right after school usually. In fact, sleeping and comic book reading are probably his only true hobbies; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds just by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing stopping him from residing at home all the right time, other than experimenting with Doraemon's devices, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball game titles or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to go out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed as being kind-hearted, emotional, honest, once in a while hard-working (like when he enters a wager with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even complete civilizations in full-length experiences. Though he's been shown to be academically poor, the real reason for it is his laziness principally, and he has also anchored good marks in multiple episodes, proving his credentials. Nobita can be quite liable and serious sometimes. Nobita is weak for the most part things but does have some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. He can also weave excellent string figures, is a great archer, and a good comic reserve critic rather, owing to the huge amount of energy he spends on reading them. He's also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's devices (in a single episode, he found a way to profitably use a device called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even when Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for this).In the initial background where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he adores Shizuka), never discovers a good job, starts off his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid each one of these from happening, as seen in several episodes where they travel to the future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
