Nobita's typical day involves arriving late to school, falling during class asleep, credit scoring zero (0%) (F's in the British dub) on his tests, getting scolded by his educator, being teased by his classmates Gian and Suneo, slipping in the curbside rainwater gutters, getting chased by puppies after mistakenly moving on the tails, getting grounded by his mother for not concluding his homework, and being bullied by all his friends except Shizuka, who remembers Nobita's kind heart and soul and cares for him. He's also a coward who's worried by almost everything, particularly ghosts, and a cry-baby (a working gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to draw out his gadgets, typically at the start of the event). He dislikes taking place outdoor activities along with his interest being taking a day nap or reading comics, usually right after school. In fact, sleeping and comic publication reading are his only true hobbies and interests probably; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds just by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The thing stopping him from staying at home all the right time, other than experimenting with Doraemon's devices, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to participate in baseball games or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to go out and play.Despite the above flaws, Nobita is usually portrayed as being kind-hearted, emotional, honest, once in a while hard-working (like when he gets into a wager along with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even whole civilizations in full-length reports. Though he's been shown to be poor academically, the reason behind it is especially his laziness, and he has also anchored good grades in multiple episodes, proving his qualifications. Nobita can be very accountable and serious sometimes. Nobita is weak at most things but has some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. He is able to also weave excellent string information, is a great archer, and a good comic book critic reasonably, owing to the large amount of their time he spends on reading them. He's also very creative as it pertains to utilizing Doraemon's gizmos (in a single episode, he found a way to profitably use a device called 'the broadcasting mirror', for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for it).In the original record where Doraemon didn't interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he enjoys Shizuka), never detects a good job, starts off his own business, and eventually goes bankrupt. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to prevent each one of these from happening, as observed in several episodes in which they travel to the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an official in the Ministry of Environment.
