He is also a coward who is worried by almost anything, ghosts particularly, and a cry-baby (a working gag in the show has Nobita crying and requesting Doraemon to bring out his gadgets, usually at the beginning of the episode). He dislikes going on outdoor activities along with his interest being taking an afternoon nap or reading comics, usually right after school. In fact, sleeping and comic e book reading are his only true interests probably; one story features Nobita falling in three seconds just by closing his eyes asleep, while in others he chooses sleep over important events, such as watching the first sunrise on New Year's Day. The only thing preventing him from staying at home on a regular basis, other than tinkering with Doraemon's gizmos, is Gian and Suneo bullying him to take part in baseball game titles or criticisms from his parents and Doraemon to go out and play.Regardless of the above flaws, Nobita is portrayed as being kind-hearted usually, emotional, honest, sometimes hard-working (like when he enters a wager with his friends) and sometimes courageous. He has often risked his life to assist in saving others or even entire civilizations in full-length reviews. Though he is been shown to be poor academically, the reason behind it is his laziness principally, and he has secured good grades in multiple shows also, proving his credentials. Nobita can be very responsible and serious at times. Nobita is weak at most things but has some strengths. For example, Nobita has excellent marksmanship which rivals (or even surpasses) Dora the Kid. He can also weave excellent string characters, is a superb archer, and a good comic reserve critic reasonably, due to the huge amount of your energy he spends on reading them. He's also very creative when it comes to utilizing Doraemon's gadgets (in one episode, he found a way to use a gadget called 'the broadcasting mirror' profitably, for advertising, even though Doraemon himself couldn't think of any use for this).In the initial background where Doraemon did not interfere, Nobita marries Jaiko (Gian's sister, although he loves Shizuka), never detects a good job, starts off his own business, and goes bankrupt eventually. Doraemon succeeds on his mission to avoid each one of these from happening, as seen in several episodes in which they travel to the near future. Nobita eventually marries Shizuka and becomes an officer in the Ministry of Environment.
