DORAEMON: CHARACTER
Shizuka Minamoto , nicknamed Shizuka-chan is a good, kind and attractive girl; she actually is Nobita's best ally and he has a crush on her. She will not shun Nobita due to the latter's failing grades, sluggish disposition or continuous failures; in reality she attempts to encourage him to do better often, though she usually does not encourage him. Shizuka loves to have a bath several times a day, however, a running gag in the series is the fact Shizuka is often interrupted by Nobita's sudden appearance, usually due to misuse of Doraemon's gizmos such as the Anywhere Door, ending with Shizuka shouting "Disappear completely, pervert!" to Nobita. Her true passions are lovely potatoes, which she'd maintain herself from the knowledge of others alternatively, and the violin, in which her playing is as horrendous as Gian's performing. She is also known for taking piano lessons unwillingly credited to her mother's needs (as she enjoys violin more), which may also be a reason for declining to hold out with friends (but she plays piano perfectly than violin). Shizuka can be an animal lover and will keep two house animals at home: your dog, who is kept from succumbing to health issues by Nobita and Doraemon in a single report; and a canary which runs away on multiple occasions and triggering Shizuka and Nobita to run around the location hunting her down.Because of Doraemon's intervention, Shizuka shall marry Nobita in the future. At the moment, she does not have any particular crush (other than on Nobita, whom she secretly likes very much), although she fancies some handsome idols on TV. Other than Nobita, Gian, and Suneo, Shizuka is also close to classmate and popular learner Dekisugi which makes Nobita jealous; though they consider each other only as friends, Nobita often will try to prevent them from going alongside one another. In the shut down captioning of Doraemon's Time Capsule, her Japanese name is maintained while donating her diary to the capsule. It may be an problem.
