Nobita, Doraemon and SHizuka Flickr Photo Sharing!
Shizuka Minamoto , nicknamed Shizuka-chan is a good, kind and lovely girl; she is Nobita's best friend and he has a crush on her behalf. She does not shun Nobita due to the latter's failing grades, sluggish disposition or frequent failures; in fact she attempts to encourage him to do better often, though she fails to influence him usually. Shizuka loves to take a bath many times a full day, however, a running gag in the series is the fact Shizuka is often interrupted by Nobita's sudden appearance, usually due to misuse of Doraemon's devices including the Anywhere Door, ending with Shizuka shouting "Disappear completely, pervert!" to Nobita.Her true passions are special potatoes, which she would somewhat keep to herself out of the understanding of others, and the violin, where her playing is as horrendous as Gian's singing. She is also known for taking piano lessons unwillingly credited to her mother's desires (as she is in love with violin more), which is sometimes grounds for declining to hang out with friends (but she performs piano perfectly than violin). Shizuka is an animal lover and keeps two dogs and cats at home: a dog, who is kept from succumbing to condition by Doraemon and Nobita in one report; and a canary which runs away on multiple occasions and causing Shizuka and Nobita to run around the city hunting her down.Due to Doraemon's intervention, Shizuka shall marry Nobita in the future. At the moment, she doesn't have any particular crush (apart from on Nobita, whom she secretly likes quite definitely), although she fancies some handsome idols on TV. Other than Nobita, Gian, and Suneo, Shizuka is also near to classmate and popular pupil Dekisugi which makes Nobita jealous; though they consider the other person only as friends, Nobita often tries to together prevent them from going.In the shut down captioning of Doraemon's Time Capsule, her Japanese name is maintained while donating her journal to the capsule. It may be an problem.
