Shizuka Minamoto , nicknamed Shizuka-chan is a smart, kind and very girl; she is Nobita's best friend and he has a crush on her. She will not shun Nobita due to the latter's failing marks, lazy disposition or frequent failures; in simple fact she attempts to encourage him to do better often, though she usually fails to persuade him.
